As I said above, I can see networks but not connect.
Output from lspci:
05:09.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR5007G Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)
Have tried ath5k, ath_pci and ndiswrapper.
Help would be much appreciated.

Well, how do you connect, and to what kind of network?
For troubleshooting, I would stick to ath5k (-> wext), try to connect manually and report back where it gets stuck.

WEP. I have tied that manual connection already, it will scan, but after doing "iwconfig wlan0 essid "MyEssid" key 1234567890", it still says "Access Point: Not-Associated", and dhcpcd times out.

You say you can "see" networks. Did you use "iwlist", or are you using networkmanager, wicd, or the like?
I ask because a want to make sure you are not fighting "an invisible hand".
What happens with iwconfig if you force the frequency/channel selection?
What happens with iwconfig if you command the output power to on/maximum?

Both.

I'll try that in the morning and post results. Thanks!

Assuming this is a new install; are you member of the networkmanager group?
