I am running X with a couple of "clients", i.e. firefox, gvim, etc. I have another computer in the house, and would like to connect to it and find my X session there. Any "X-client" out there, that does this?

An alternative to X-clients that I've never understood.

Your question is a bit vague tbh. With tightvnc you actually start a new session, instead of connecting to one you started earlier locally. There is also x forwarding where individual applications running on one computer can be displayed on another. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/SSH#X11_Forwarding.

My solution to the problem was using x11vnc, also described in the arch wiki. I am launching x11vnc via my .xinitrc that way I can always be sure I can access my workstation remotely.
