I upgraded my Arch this morning and found notification area wasn't working right. Icons of all apps show the same like this:
In fact main.py is for ibus, and all other apps are showing ibus icon too.
I noticed there was an update for gnome-applets. Any ideas about this bug?

Yes I am using the nvidia driver and updated it to 275.09.07-1 this morning. Perhaps that's the cause.

I have the same problem...

The new Nvidia driver however seems to have solved Gnome 3 rendering problem on console switch and suspend/resume, so I'd like to stick to it and wait for upgrade.

I also have this problem, nVidia driver 275.09.07. Ah well, I'll just wait for the next update.

Same problem after updating today to 275.xx... Running x86_64... It seems like whatever is the first applet that starts takes over all others as regards icons; not that one can do much about it being closed source... Weird... but interesting!
Be formless, shapeless... like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup; you put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; if you put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot... Now water can flow, or it can crash... Be water my friend

I have exact the same problem as yours. I'm on x86_64 with nvidia 275.09.07-1 with kernel26-ck. Hopefully there is a fix for this, it's really annoying.
