[Request] Gromit-MPX

Gromit (GRaphics Over MIscellaneous Things) is a small tool to make annotations on the screen, and it is available in the AUR. Unfortunately the developer seems to have abandoned it several years ago, and it has issues with certain common graphics hardware configurations.

Gromit-MPX is a very recent GTK3 port with various improvements and fixes. Homepage and download + readme.

It requires GTK3 and advises having a compositing manager like xcompmgr or Compiz running to make things snappy. I apologize for not taking the time and learning how to package this myself, but I am currently swamped in schoolwork and simply haven't got the hours. If nobody picks this up for a couple of weeks I will have a go, but I won't cry if someone deprives me of the opportunity.

I'm using gromit-mpx and have created an AUR package.

Re: [Request] Gromit-MPX

Thanks altercation, it works great. I actually did try and package it myself but it keep failing and I was having a lot of trouble working out what was wrong. I'll take a look at your work and figure out what I did wrong for future reference. Thanks again.

Re: [Request] Gromit-MPX

I made a man page for Gromit-MPX based on the official README. It's the first one I've made so it's a little rough, but here it is. Good learning experience though, and hopefully it will be useful to others. It might be cool to add it to the AUR package.
