Re: [PROBLEM] setting kde to my laptop

Tell more about your configuration:
What laptop is it?
What's inside?
Which KDE are you using?
Which kernel are you using?
But now I'm taking a blind shot:
Do you have power saving enabled in KDE daemons?(it should be enabled by default so if you didn't changed anything in Startup Settings it should work. If you unplug charger does KDE inform you about that? or anything is happening? also paste lsmod and lspci. what daemons you have running?

Re: [PROBLEM] setting kde to my laptop

You don't seem to have load acpi_cpufreq module so I assume you haven't setup cpufreq-utils, do you ?
IIRC, KDE use cpufreq-utils.

Also, have you install laptop-mode-tools and acpid ?

For more info, the wiki has all the articles you need:
laptop-mode
cpufreq-utils
acpid

Things like suspending to RAM should be working without installing any of things you have written. KDE powersave daemon should take care of it.

Strange kernel you're using. kernel26 in core is 2.6.39 by now. Did you compiled your own kernel? try install LTS kernel

Oh, you're right. It seems that only cpufreq-utils is needed.

Sorry for the noise.
