xawtv doesn't show anything...

When I execute xawtv, message showes
" ioctl : VIDIOC_OVERLAY(int=1) : wrong parameter "
And I can't see  and heard anything in display..
though I choose option "NTSC  and us-cable"

But tvtime work well...

In modprobe.conf

alias char-major-81-0    bttv

What TV card do you have? I'm guessing it's not a PVR card, but if it is then perhaps I could help

I have a WinFast tv 2000 xp , if its any consolation ill show you my conf after im finished configuring everything else on here , got lots of new hardware im setting up 
gimme a day or so
