evdev problems after updating

Hello everyone,

I've just encountered a small issue after updating my system.
Some of the packages versions are the following:
xorg-server to 1.10.2-1
xf86-input-keyboard 1.6.0-1
xf86-input-mouse 1.7.0-1
xf86-input-evdev 2.6.0-3

After the update i tried to start up X (through xinit), everything seemed fine except for that it wasn't accepting any input (keyboard / mouse), neither did it let me switch back to another virtual terminal.

I've found the following errors in /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Thanks for the help in advance

Re: evdev problems after updating

Please use [ code ] tags when pasting code, like so:

[ 2934.299] (EE) module ABI major version (9) doesn't match the server's version (11)

Please update your system. e.g. xf86-input-keyboard is version 1.6.0-2 now.

Edit: The log says you're running evdev compiled for 1.8.1.902 ...

[ 2934.292] compiled for 1.8.1.902, module version = 2.4.0

Re: evdev problems after updating

I'm running the same versions w/o any problem. Have you restarted your computer after the update?

I ran into the same thing. After I disabled HAL, problem disappeared. I now have a problem with wicd, but at least now I can type smile
