Vectorlinux 7.0 can parse Arch PKGBUILDS

http://forum.vectorlinux.com/index.php?topic=14331.0

We have added the ability to build archlinux packages in slackware format in both the abs and aur with a special script unique to VectorLinux.

But whose bugtracker will they use? smile

Re: Vectorlinux 7.0 can parse Arch PKGBUILDS

Our's if it is a problem with the PKGBUILD; theirs if it is a problem with the script.

PKGBUILDs are actually just bash, so nearly every linux distro could "parse" them. I don't know what would be necessary to change to get it to make a slackware package out of it.

I'm curious what this "special script" is that they're using. Hope they're keeping up with pacman development for all the upcoming changes wink
