Hey,
So, whenever I try to watch a youtube video in full screen, it semi-freezes and makes it impossible to watch.
I was wondering if there was anything I could do to improve the performance of it.
videos in flash are really smooth when they are not in full screen, but whenever i switch full screen it freezes quite bad.
in case this is needed:
i am running 64 bit arch, xfce4. Browsers Firefox, Chromium. intel i5, Intel HD graphics

You can try to disable hardware acceleration. It's enabled by default. Just right click on any flash video and uncheck it. I'm not sure if it will help but you can try it and see. It might help somewhat. I think the general concensus is that flash doesn't work as good on Linux as Windows.

thanks for suggestion, I did that earlier and it barely made a difference, if at all

You could maybe also try the pre-release version in the AUR.

I've had this issue a few times as well (lagging when fullscreened/not staying full etc) I fixed it by simply removing flash-plugin and reinstalling it via pacman...
I like pie. Especially with a side of Arch.

I personally have given up: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo … oreplacer/
No more 30-50 % CPU usage and howling coolers.

Where can I modify that?

what settings do you use with that thing?
tbh, my flash takes close to no resources when its not full screened,
No good fix for it so far so I guess I'll wait for the flash updates to fix the issue.
