[SOLVED]Slow Gnome/KDE boot up

I've searched a bit and couldn't find a solution. I saw this thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=121323, but it didn't help me. My boot time is about 15 seconds (to the tty or whatever). When I log in, my bash_profile automatically starts "startx". I have KDE, Gnome, and XFCE installed. Xfce boots up in about 5 seconds, but gnome and KDE both take about 35 seconds. Does anyone know the solution for this? Oh one thing I've noticed is that when I press ctrl alt backspace, it says:

"Unable to locate theme engine in module_path" or something like that.

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Thanks that worked! Total time to a usable desktop (everything loaded, including wireless network) is about 32 seconds! Thanks dude! I'll put this as solved.
