As i see there is no much talk abut this. And i think there should be. Meego is nice project, but stull very young.
For some time i code in C++ and Qt and it is really nice, and now i wish to code for meego. But in start i have some issues/problems, i installed meego sdk from AUR but with that package i get duplicated QtCreator and maybe some other stuff. That is not big problem, the real problem is when i try to run meego runtime. I get only black screen and X cursor.
Also i can SSH into machine, so the problem is graphical nature.
Anyone have similar problem? I can't start coding because of this.
If you have some other stuff about meego feel free to post them. I wish to learn more about meego and i think there is more people interested in this topic.
Best regards.

Hi, I'm trying to install the meego-sdk too, but I get an error after I type the password to elevating access rights.
How did you installed it?
EDIT: I just found the meego-sdk on AUR. I was using their installer.
EDIT2: the package on AUR is very ugly. I'm rewriting it, I need a day or two.

Hi Bash, i see you split packages. What do i need to install to have emulator and to build apps for meego? I already can make desktop apps in QT (i have installed Qt Creator and its dependencies). On Windows i have Harmattan and that's it, they really fixed app manager for Qt framework in Windows.

Hi,
yes I'm trying to package the meego-sdk. I already packaged the components needed to develop on handsets (like madde, meego-sdk-qt, meego-sdk-qt-creator, meego-sdk-qemu-arm), but I had no time to work on the i586 packages yet.
The packages of official meego-sdk suite are here. Any help is appreciated since I already started my exam session and KDE 4.7 is here. I want follow our package structure (eg. their qt is splitted in more packages, our meego-sdk-qt provides all them as our qt package does.)

Since this thread is difficult to place but doesn't belong in Desktop Environments, i'm moving it to GNU/Linux Discussion for now.
