kernel-netbook and sound issues

Hello

Today I have following problem with my Arch.

I use pulseaudio and it is quite allright. The problem is that when I run DeaDBeeF, it somehow locks my audio device and I don't have sound in browsers, pidgin etc. DeaDBeef can be playing, paused or stopped, it doesn't matter, sound in chromium starts to work about 45-60 seconds after I totally quit the player.

To solve this, I decided to install OSS, but I've got following error:

:: Starting Open Sound System [BUSY]
Failed to disable conflicting sound drivers
Reboot and try running soundon again

Also check that you have not compiled sound support statically
into the kernel.

I tried to blacklist soundcore as Arch wiki is saying and turned off pulseaudio, still soundon didn't work (the same message) and alsamixer and mpg123 are working just fine:/

my lsmod shows

pci_hotplug 7764 2 asus_wmi,eeepc_laptop

so there is nothing to remove.

however, i found this thread https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=119342 so the second part of oss message is true and I think I have similar problem, with one difference - i installed kernel-netbook by 'pacman -U'.

do I have to install it from source with changed settings or is there any other solution fixing those annoying sound issues?

regards.
