[SOLVED] SignalSender

What is SignalSender? I just installed PowerTOP to help me improve battery life, and the top cause for wakeups (of which I have too many) is something called SignalSender (at around 30%).

Can someone tell me what this is?

Re: [SOLVED] SignalSender

Same here, SignalSender is responsible for ~30% of all wakeups on idle.

(Second cause is fglrx with 60 wakeups/second, probably for rendering to screen).

Re: [SOLVED] SignalSender

That might be caused by chromium [1], try without anything running. Here the total wakeups/s with just this tab open and a few other things running is below 200 and I guess that's normal for someone using a DE with some programs running on the background. Do you have your system fully up-to-date?

Ah, yes. It was Chromium. Thanks.
