upgrade prob with pacman[SOLVED]

i am trying to install yaourt but it saids:

[root@seansarch yaourt-0.10.1]# makepkg -s --asroot
==> Making package: yaourt 0.10.1-2 (Mon Jun 27 07:28:27 EDT 2011)
==> Checking Runtime Dependencies...
==> Installing missing dependencies...
error: 'pacman>=3.5': could not find or read package
==> ERROR: 'pacman' failed to install missing dependencies.

so i tryed

[root@seansarch yaourt-0.10.1]# pacman -S pacman
warning: pacman-3.4.0-2 is up to date -- reinstalling
resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...

Targets (1): pacman-3.4.0-2

Total Download Size:    0.00 MB
Total Installed Size:   2.23 MB

Proceed with installation? [Y/n]

and it tells me that pacman is up to date @ 3.4.0-2 but yaourt wants 3.5? not sure what to do?

first do a system upgrade with pacman -Syu and then try again installing yaourt. current pacman verison is 3.5.3-1.
