[SOLVED] tex group in /etc/groups conflicting with rtkit group

An error message during bootup and shutdown set me looking why I had no group "rtkit".
Turns out the rtkit.install tries to create a user and group rtkit with uid and gid 133. For whatever reasons my system already had a group "tex" with gid 133.

Does anybody know where this group "tex" comes from (I looked through the basic tex packages of arch but could not find it in the respective .install files)?

See what files it owns.

 ls -al -R /|grep " tex " > /home/YOURUSERNAME/files-tex-owns-output

Run the command as root and, of course, change YOURUSERNAME to your user.

Re: [SOLVED] tex group in /etc/groups conflicting with rtkit group

Turns out this group owns nothing, plus a similar installation on a different machine does not have this group (despite having all the texlive packages).

Thanks for the help.
