xorg problem gnome falls goes onto fallback mode

i reinstalled arch and now when i star mycomputer it always goes to fallback mode
if i do
@arch-m ~]$ startx

Fatal server error:
Server is already active for display 0
    If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock
    and start again.

Please consult the The X.Org Foundation support
     at http://wiki.x.org
for help.

XIO:  fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0"
      after 7 requests (7 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

and if i do X -configure i get
@arch-m ~]$ sudo X -configure

i've tried loggin out andgoin TTY and do      sudo /etc/rc.d/gdm  stop  ant then startx   or  X -configure and it doesn't solve the problem,can anyone help me out with this?
