Hi,
I have a problem with bluetooth on gnome 3, the device is on but when i try to set as visible it doesn't do anything.
I'm able to use it with the hcitool:
$ sudo hciconfig hci0 up
$ hcitool dev
Devices:
hci0 00:23:4D:E9:02:D7
$ sudo hciconfig hci0 piscan
$ hciconfig
hci0: Type: BR/EDR Bus: USB
BD Address: 00:23:4D:E9:02:D7 ACL MTU: 1021:8 SCO MTU: 64:8
UP RUNNING PSCAN ISCAN
RX bytes:914 acl:0 sco:0 events:36 errors:0
TX bytes:153 acl:0 sco:0 commands:36 errors:0
$ hcitool scan
Scanning ...
00:22:66:9F:75:F4 n/a
So it works... but when i try with the gnome 3 applet on the panel I'm unable to set as visible.
Also on the Bluetooth Settings is all greyed i can't change anything.
Is there someone with the same problem???
My Laptop is a Dell Latitude E5500
Kernel 2.6.39-ARCH
OS 64 bits

Did you install bluez ans started the bluetooth deamon either manually or in rc.conf?
Offline
Yes I have bluez installed and the daemon is started by rc.conf, but i also tried restarting the daemon but is the same....
Here is my Daemon list in rc.conf
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng dbus @bluetooth @networkmanager netfs crond @alsa)

Thanks for reply, but i also have a slide button for bluetooth and it works perfectly, i know this because if i disable the bluetooth using the button i can see how the icon on the panel changes, how the light on my laptop turns off and i also see some activity in the xorg.log
