Re: TVTIME - No Sound

Run 'pacman -Ql tvtime' to get a list files owned by that package - there's no tvtime.sh but I see

/usr/bin/tvtime-command
/usr/bin/tvtime-configure
/usr/bin/tvtime-scanner

Maybe one of them is tvtime.sh in disguise :-)

Re: TVTIME - No Sound

I agree some sort of file has to be edited , but my question after reading the links you gave me is  - which file to edit and where is its location , I'll use  nano as the editor.

Pls give me location and exact file name as tvtime.sh doesn't exist,

when I type command tvtime in the terminal , tvtime comes up with the regular video but no sound

and in the terminal it shows this -

[vinit@vinit .tvtime]$ tvtime
Running tvtime 1.0.2.
Reading configuration from /etc/tvtime/tvtime.xml
Reading configuration from /home/vinit/.tvtime/tvtime.xml
mixer: Can't open device /dev/mixer, mixer volume and mute unavailable.

It says can't open device /dev/mixer

there is no mixer in the directory /dev. I have checked.

pls help

Forget it - I removed Arch as it is very buggy no sound in TVTIME , empathy does not work - damn - I've gone back to the sweet Linux Mint 11 - Kudos to Mint . So simple and almost free of bugs.
