I am trying to connect to Freenode via Irssi using tor.
In order to do this you need to use an irssi script called cap_sasl.pl in your ~/.irssi/scripts/autorun directory.
This script fails to load properly in irssi with the error message:
-!- Irssi: Error in script cap_sasl:
23:48 Can't locate Crypt/DH.pm in @INC (@INC contains:
/home/me/.irssi/scripts /usr/share/irssi/scripts
/usr/lib/perl5/core_perl /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl
/usr/share/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl
/usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/core_perl .) at
/home/me/.irssi/scripts/autorun/cap_sasl.pl line 237.
First of all it gave me a different error that I solved by installing some perl crypto packages, so theoretically I just need to install a package or two that contain Crypt.pm and DH.pm, but I am now at a loss. I would try and locate a package name based on the files within it but I can't figure out how to do that, or if I even can.
Any help appreciated.

To update on this situation - I found the appropriate PM here - http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=34386.
Now the problem is that even thought the cap_sasl.pl loads, I get the error:
*** Notice -- you need to identify via SASL to use
this server
And it disconnects me. As far as Irssi is telling me, I have sasl loaded.
Has anyone come across this problem?

Hey JLucien, as it happens I'm also trying to connect to Tor via irssi. I'll the editing the Tor article on ArchWiki as I figure it out.
I'd recommend you read the wiki and then for more detail check the following links.
Edit: So I have run across two problems:
The error produced by this bug.
The Crypt::DH listed in the SASL README.txt doesn't appear to be in the repositories. I would assume the package name would be perl-crypt-dh
Edit 2: Crypt:DH is in AUR and the error just required Perl to be updated. But I now receive the following error when loading the script:
Math::BigInt: couldn't load specified math lib(s), fallback to Math::BigInt::Calc at
/usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/Crypt/DH.pm line 6

I am encountering the same error but I am not sure it is what is actually stopping the connection. I'm stumped if anyone has solved this please let us know!

I was able to connect to Freenode with Tor following the instructions I wrote on the Wiki. The above error shouldn't prevent you from connecting, although I have to admit I haven't gotten around to investigating that error. I did, however, have trouble connecting to Freenode with Tor at startup, but that is related to configuration.
JLucien, when you type
/connect -network <network> 10.40.40.40
into irssi (after following the steps on the Wiki) do you receive an error?

Solved. Unconfigging everything and trying again it worked. The steps in the wiki are good. Marking as solved.

I was previously able to connect prior to yesterday's -Syu, but now it won't work. It just sits at connecting to p4fsi4ockecnea7l.onion (or 10.40.40.40, I've tried it both ways). Any ideas about what may have changed?
dvdtube - download all uploads from a YouTube user and then optionally create a DVD.
