anybody every try to get java-gnome to work?
Offline
I've started taking a look at it, but libgnome-java errors out on some doc generation. It would be great to be able to use this.

I got past the doc issue. I had to make with --without-javadoc. I have the base packages done, but I haven't tested them.

sounds good... post them after you get to test them.
thanks!

I'd like to do this up as an official submission to the AUR, but I don't know what Licence java-gnome uses - and I've never done the thorough packaging stuff... Any input would be great!

Leave the licence field empty. It is not implemented yet.

thanks. My comp is dead right now, so this'll have to go on hold for a week or so...

Okay - for anyone interested, I FINALLY got java-gnome onto the AUR. I got a little distracted along the way.
There are 4 packages to support java-gnome:
libgtk-java
libgnome-java
libglade-java
libgconf-java
Enjoy!

Has anyone tried these packages out?

I haven't gotten a change to build em, since I (with all do respect) don't have a use for them. But they are deemed safe so I voted for them.

Hello,
I made a new package for java-gnome
It's available in AUR:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?d … 1&ID=13896
And furthermore it should make the following (orphaned) packages obsolete:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?d … =1&ID=9980
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?d … =1&ID=9978
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?d … =1&ID=9979
Regards,
Timm
