I think it would be nice if the AUR would highlight packages that have new comments since the last time you opened the package for review. Otherwise, there's no way of knowing how many comments a package has, nor when there's a new one to read. It took me a while to notice somebody posted a bug with one of my packages because I don't read all the comments to all of my packages every day.

it would be even better if a comment was emailed to the 'owner' of the pkgbuild being commented on. Or a flag in the profile to email comments or not.

I submitted a feature resquest for that a while ago. It will be available in the next version.

Are you guys aware that it is possible to be notified of comments to a specific package? Just click the notify button on the packages page, beside 'vote'.
This isn't automatic notification for all packages you maintain, but it is a start.

does that work yet, dusty?

I can't say that it does, except I've received comment notifications on some threads that I've asked for them on...

Yes it works, I coded it!
It's been there since the last release, quietly sitting there waiting for someone to click it ;-) Looks like only 214 of this type of notify exist right now, so I guess not a whole lot of people are clicking it.
It does not automatically get turned on when you submit a package, you have to explicitly ask. Nor is it yet smart enough to know when you leave a comment on a package you're subscribed to...so you get notified about your own messages too.
Anywho, yes it's a start.
The suggestion box only accepts patches.
