[SOLVED] xfce4-mixer panel applet segfault on scroll over

Hi,

An update to my system this week made the xfce4-mixer panel plugin to segfault every time i scroll over it (which i do often to change volume instead of using the laptop special keys). The following message appears in /var/log/messages:

Jul  6 21:00:58 localhost kernel: [  349.014711] xfce4-mixer-plu[1988]: segfault at 24 ip 0000000000406383 sp 00007fff6030f130 error 4 in xfce4-mixer-plugin[400000+a000]

I found this bug report:

https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/24323

but it leads to nowhere. Anybody can reproduce that? Any help is welcome.

Re: [SOLVED] xfce4-mixer panel applet segfault on scroll over

Thank you Stebalien, this worked.

Apparently it is some bug related to the default control when the xfce4-mixer is added to the panel. A workaround is to, right after adding the mixer to the panel, right click on it and change the mixer track to anything else. Then you can put it back as you want.
