xf86-video-intel - random logouts

Hello. I have been experiencing random logouts on my machine, closing all applications and work. This seems to happen only when I maximise flash content to full screen, then minimize it. I have read a couple of threads on here regarding this matter and it appears to be an issue with the video driver, but there doesn't seem to be a proper solutions; not that I know of anyway.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Perhaps you already know this, but still - did you check the Xorg.0.log file in /var/log? It should provide you clue as to what exactly is going wrong.

A bit late, sorry for that. I'm experiencing the same behavior. Here it seems that opera is the culprit >> sometimes, but not directly flash-related, I'm being thrown out of my session. Logs don't show any errors. It's at least internet-related, that I know. With firefox things are stable.
My advice would be to install the git-version of the intel driver and see what happens.

For me anyway it's been firefox that acting up (though I don't use other browsers often enough to see how likely it is to occur with something else), and always flash related. It's been kind of random though, not every time I use full screen. Either of you using i686? I'm seeing it on my x86_64 machine but not my i686 netbook. Haven't had a crash since Sly posted, will post a log next time it happens.

Re: xf86-video-intel - random logouts

I'll do the same.
Things don't occur that often here. Had a logout once using firefox..opera the other times. Flash?? Maybe..

[edit]
Might be flash after all. I got an update of flash this morning so we'll see how it goes.
I had a logout yesterday > using ff, no logs after that. I already use the git version of the intel video-driver. No gain there...
