Hello
I used the UNetBootin utility on Windows to create a bootable ArchLinux USB keydrive ("core" -> Linux ArchLinux-2.6.33-ARCH).
After booting up an Acer 3810T laptop, the Atheros 1063 isn't detected, so I have no Gigabyte Ethernet.
Following the wiki, I typed "hwdetect --show-net", but it says "hwdetect: command not found".
What should I do to get ArchLinux to support that Ethernet chip?
Thank you.

Same issue with the latest ArchLinux (2010.05, kernel 2.6.33.4)

The Atheros 1063 is supposed to use the atl1c module, correct? Try this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/As … X#Ethernet

I would suggest this: 1. use the new testisos 2. don't use unetbootin, it is not needed. (just use dd or imagewriter)
