Install vs. Vodafone K4505

I have a laptop and want to install Arch. For internet access I use Vodafone Mobile Broadband K4505 USB Stick. But I can't load LiveUSB because I have these errors:

/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
[ramfs /]# usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 3
usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 4
usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 5
usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -110
hub 3-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 1
usb 2-2: USB disconnect, address 3
usb 2-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 4

Now shows only this and make nothing else. Google can't help, only tell to plug off broadband modem. On Crunchbang also these errors, but not 110, but 60. After errors I can use fully livecd. How to solve this porblem?

Re: Install vs. Vodafone K4505

You say that you "can't load LiveUSB" (what is that?), but also that "after errors i can use fully livecd". What actually is the problem?

Re: Install vs. Vodafone K4505

I try to load Arch from LiveUSB, but can't load fully to entering login stage, because have errors above.

I said "after errors i can use fully livecd" about Crunchbang, it has the same errors, differents only in "error -60" rather than "error -110". After errors livecd with crunchbang loads normally with desktop and apps. I haven't other distros, so cannot test again.
Sorry, I could not explain understandable smile

Re: Install vs. Vodafone K4505

So are you using the Arch installer from usb and the Crunchbang installer from cd? Perhaps you should try installing Arch from cd too, or insert the Vodafone stick only after you have successfully loaded the installer? Another thing you can try is to use a newer Arch installer (kernel), like Archboot or the latest iso from release engineering.

Yes, right.

I tried to plug off modem until liveusb loads correctly, but can't configure network. iwconfig, iwlist, ping tell only:

-bash: /usr/sbin/iwconfig: Input/output error

Now I'm trying other your solutions.
