A while ago I went looking for a way to use pacman on my laptop -- which runs OS X. I saw the previous attempts at making it happen, but it looks like those have fizzled out.
I've taken the previous efforts and mangled them to match how I want to use it myself, and I thought I'd make the results available to anybody else that might find it useful.
You can check it out at <http://www.archmac.org>.
At this point, it's just a basic OS X installer package that gets you makepkg and pacman (and the prerequisites) so you can turn your PKGBUILDs into binaries.

I'm interested in if what patching (if any) you needed to get pacman building and makepkg running. We can probably get them in the pacman code base.

I'm also very interested (Allan and I are both pacman/makepkg developers). Definitely get in touch with us with any problems/issues you run into, especially in the git version if you have tried that out at all. Your input is definitely welcome on the pacman-dev ML.
