Hi, Im having trouble getting any audio at all when I plug in a pair of headphones, The speakers work fine, but when I plug in headphones, the audio still comes from the speakers on the laptop. Ive tried muting the speakers, and turning the vollume up on headset, and turning up master; but nothin works. Ive also tried the fix for lenovo laptops where you add a line to modprobe.d/sound.conf, and that didn't fix anything either.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Thanks!

Do you have your Headphone Jack Sense toggled on (check your mixer settings)?

How exatly would I do that?
EDIT:
Im in alsamixer, and I see that on my soundcard headphone sound is turned all the way up; I'm not sure what you mean by the sense being toggled though-

[karol@black ~]$ amixer | grep -A3 Sense
Simple mixer control 'Headphone Jack Sense',0
Capabilities: pswitch pswitch-joined penum
Playback channels: Mono
Mono: Playback [on]

Simple mixer control 'Line Jack Sense',0

Mono: Playback [off]
The first one - Headphone Jack Sense - is [on] and mutes my speakers when I plug the headphones in.

What? Am I supposed to run this in a terminal? It just tells me that all the commands aren't found.

amixer is in the alsa-utils package.
I only know how to flip the switch in alsamixer ;P If you don't have this option in you mixer settings, there's nothing I can do.

There is a channel named Headphone Jack Sense I have to unmute. That's all.

Well, I can see in alsa mixer that headphones aren't muted, and all the way turned up. But When I first open alsamixer, it defuault shows a pulseaudio control that only shows master, instead of my actual soundcard. When I switch the view to my soundcard I can control headphone vollume, mic boost and all of that. I don't know if that matters or anything though. But I'm still getting no sound from my headphones when pluged in. I usde the headphones on another computer, so I know its not the headphones' problem.

So you don't any sound from the headphones at all? Doublecheck if you're sticking them in the right place and try using another pair to see if it isn't some hardware problem.

Okay so I've figured out that for some reason the pulseaudio was the problem; it was only allowing output through my integrated speakers. I removed the pulseaudio package and now everything works fine.
