I've been playing around with dwm and tmux recently and I like the way you can have the output of commands displayed in the panel. Is there a panel that can do this that I can use with a WM such as Openbox? I would like it to contain a list of open windows to click on to raise focus (task/window list) and launchers/menu would be optional.
Thanks

Thanks. I've played around with it for a bit and it's good, but I cannot find a way to display a click-able window list. I guess I could use something like tint2 along with this.
Do you know how to have the output align to the left/right? It's centred by default. Can it support clicking? (to run a command).
Thanks

A while ago, I saw a dzen2-based taskbar called polaris. Not sure if it's in AUR or not. Last I played with it, it wasn't easy to add other stuff to the taskbar like system stats; you would have had to hack the (python) source to do so. You might also read the source for ideas on how to build your own window list; if you know any python, I don't think it would be difficult.

Oh, and I've been known to use dmenu for a window list.
