Windows unable to access NFS

I installed arch and nfs-utils. No problems with linux in any way.

Windows will not connect to the nfs shares on arch server.
Windows will connect without a problem to the nfs shares on my ubuntu workstation.

nfsstat shows arch server running only NFSv4, where the ubuntu is running NFSv2 v3 and v4.

I'd like to run NFSv3 on arch, HELP!

By the way, why not use samba for those shares?

Tested by me works 100% between Arch and Windows 7

Re: Windows unable to access NFS

I installed arch again in a new vm and it looks like nfs defaults to version 3 (nfsstat shows version 2 and version 3 even tho the config says no v1 or v2). I simply force v4 when I want it. Windows mounts no problem. I should have created a new VM when moving to arch....... : |

Thanks, Durden, although, the configs for nfs-server and nfs-common don't seem to work (v2 was running). I needed that info

****On second thought, does anyone have a clue as to where I forced nfsv4 or disabled v1,v2,v3??? I copied new configs, so it's not nfs-common nfs-server.conf

sudo mount -t nfs svrl:/media/e /media/e
mount.nfs: mount system call failed

mount -t nfs4
works no problem
