Problem installing AMD Catalyst

I downloaded the catalyst pkgfile from AUR and noticed it required catalyst-utils for installation. So i downloaded and made the package file.

After completely making the install-able tar.xg file I started the installation. As stated the fglrx needed to remove ligl so I agreed but as soon as I press enter  I get this error

Computer : AMD A8 3850

Re: Problem installing AMD Catalyst

Video hardware details would help.

EDIT: Sorry, missed the line.

Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?
All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.

Re: Problem installing AMD Catalyst

nobody said to install xorg. that is clearly his fault.

pacman -Rns $(pacman -Sgq xorg-drivers | grep -v xf86-input-evdev)

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Yeah, *I* know, but I was curious why OP thought it was necessary to install the whole group.

Or he can uninstall the whole group and install only the packages he needs.
