Gnome 3 bug in the notification panel.

Hi everyone,
I have Gnome3 since the first day he was moved from the Testing repository and since that day, I have the same problem.

Sometimes (not every time though) when I start a software who uses notification, he uses is own icon... but then when I start another software how also needs is own notification icon, he just makes a copy for the first one...

It is very annoying.... Who can I solve this problem ?...

Also there is a bug in the banshee icon (as you can see in the pictures, look at the notification in the middle), this bug doesn't appear in Fedora :S...

i just read a similar post saying it was a bug in the nvidia driver, and not directly from gnome-3. you could always try the nouveau driver with gallium 3d acceleration, but i had issues with that personally. and by issues, i mean i couldn't get gnome shell to run.

you need nouveau-dri as well

:S... I don't really think it is a good idea to start using the nouveau driver just for that bug :S... ins't there any other solution ?.... I'm not saying that because I hate the nouveau driver... I've been using it for a long time and I prefer it compared to the nvidia how as a lot of bugs sometimes really annoying :S... It's just that it isn't not quite compatible yet with my Nvidia 9800GT :S...

just suck it up until nvidia fixes this bug. fyi is not fixed even in the upcoming version(275.19)

Truthfully, apps aren't even supposed to be using the notification panel. It's only there for older gtk2 apps that haven't made the switch yet. Dropbox being one of them. Even if the nvidia bug doesn't get fixed, expect it to go away just because apps get updated to gnome3 anyway.

Not using the notification panel ? So what is the substitute for the notification panel in gnome 3 ?
