Hi, im trying to get CPU frequency scalling working on my laptop. It seems that acpi-cpufreq wont start if I add it to my DAEMONS list like this:
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng netfs crond dbus networkmanager !laptop-mode acpi-cpufreq gdm)
but when after i login and open up a terminal, I can run
sudo modeprobe acpi-cpufreq
and it starts up just fine!
Why is this? It seems like it should be the same whether i start it up after loging in or add it to the daemons list. please help as this is really annoying!
If you need any more data/info just let me know.

Just edit your first post in the thread. You can edit the title from there.
