Hi,
I'm on a fully updated Arch_64/KDE 4.6.5. (Xorg server v 1.10.2).
Ever since the last upgrade, I get system crashes. kdm.log shows failure to connect with DBUS.
However, DBUS starts (or should start) at boot- it's the second entry in the DAEMONS line in rc.conf.
Please advise
Thanks
Best regards,

I had the same problem when I accidentally deleted second bracket in /etc/rc.conf
DAEMONS=( . . . )
You could test if you have dbus running
rc.d list | grep dbus
If not just run
rc.d start dbus
