Missing python to install utouch-geis [SOLVED]

Hi everyone,

I im trying to get Touchégg working on my laptop but I am faced with a problem installing the dependency utouch-geis I used the PKGBUILD from the AUR, but since that version is marked as expired I edited the file and filled in the newest version number (vers. 2.1.1)and replaced the md5-checksum, but that causes a problem downloading the source code (I get an error "404 Not Found", since I have a working internet connection I don't know what's causing it) to get past that problem I downloaded the sourcecode manually and put it in the same folder. Now everthing works fine until the script checks for python then it stops and says

checking for PYTHON... no
configure: error: Package requirements (python >= 2.7) were not met:

No package 'python' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables PYTHON_CFLAGS
and PYTHON_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

I installed both python (latest version 3) and python2 but it still doesn't find it. I don't know what to do now to get it to find the python package.

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks
mo0ep

Edit: I changed to version 2.0.11 which is the latest stable version and now it works.
