KDE Menu Editor not saving changes...

When I make a change in the KDE menu editor and then save the following message comes up:

"Could not write to /home/user/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu"

There is no such path so I made a path and file and the same results. I'm using Arch Linux and KDE 4.6.5.

Make sure the permissions for /home/user/.config/menus/ are set for you as user. If not, you can su root and chown / chgrp to the correct permissions.
