- Can't find device file in /dev
- Shows up on desktop (xfce), can't mount that way (dialog pops up with a permissions complaint)
- relevant dmesg output:
[ 2379.313714] hub 1-1:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 1
[ 2380.740996] usb 1-1.1: new high speed USB device number 9 using ehci_hcd
[ 2380.832848] scsi11 : usb-storage 1-1.1:1.0
I probably could mount it graphically by logging in as root, but I'd rather not be root in a graphical environment. Besides, if I can't find the entry in /dev, there's something wrong.
Ok, just poked around, i find a libmtp-1-1.1 that points to /dev/bus/usb/001/011. It's not mountable (error is '/dev/... is not a block device).
Does anyone have pointers on how to fix this?
