[solved] force upgrade problem

trying to upgrade Jack2 I get this

[studio@myhost ~]$ LC_ALL=C sudo pacman -S jack2
resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: ardour3-svn: requires jack>=0.118.0

I know that Ardour3-svn works with jack2 so I tried to force the upgrade, without success:

[studio@myhost ~]$ LC_ALL=C sudo pacman -Sf jack2
resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: ardour3-svn: requires jack>=0.118.0

why doesn't the force-option work here?

Re: [solved] force upgrade problem

Have you tried to remove the old jack first?
I think '-f' is for file conflicts and '-d' is for dependencies.
