Re: [solved] KDE 4.7 dependency problem

In that email I noticed that the wallpapers have been split out of kdebase-workspace, which is great!  After a quick inspection, however, the kde-wallpapers package still a dependency for kdebase-workspace.  Is this only temporary in [testing], or are they really necessary for the workspace?  I feel like it kind of defeats the purpose of splitting the packages; I'd prefer not to download all those wallpapers, considering I have most of them already and they haven't really changed in a while (not to mention I live in rural Tanzania).

Also, are there plans to merge kde-wallpapers with kdeartwork-wallpapers? It looks like there's actually some overlap in these packages.  Not enough to cause conflicts, but kdeartwork has larger versions of wallpapers that are in kde-wallpapers.

My thanks to all the Arch-KDE packagers, you all do an awesome job!

@vit
When pacman asks, reply yes to replace kdegraphics-libs.

@dberg918
KDM Horos theme wallpaper is in kde-wallpapers, and it's also the default wallpaper when you start KDE. This is because I put it as depends, but you're not the first one that notice this then I'll put it as optdepends.
No, I will not merge kde-wallpapers and kdeartwork-wallpapers as they are separate by upstream.

Note that kdm also gets its background image from kde-wallpapers.

Re: [solved] KDE 4.7 dependency problem

Same message here, if I apply to removing "kdegraphics-libs" it gives me errors like:

:: kdegraphics-gwenview: depends on kdegraphics-libs
:: kdegraphics-kolourpaint: depends on kdegraphics-libs
:: kdegraphics-ksnapshot: depends on kdegraphics-libs
:: kdeplasma-addons-applets-frame: depends on kdegraphics-libs

Re: [solved] KDE 4.7 dependency problem

This is just a problem with mirrors syncing, wait till kdegraphics-gwenview is 4.7 and it's dependency then should be kde-meta-kdegraphics
