ogre 1.0.1 complains that libmng is missing /usr/lib/libmng.la and doesnt link.. (http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?p=83144)
ive manually created one, i HAVENT used the libtool.sh as the file suggests.. i used libzzip.la as a template
heres the file
# libmng.la - a libtool library file
# Generated by ltmain.sh - GNU libtool 1.4 (1.920 2001/04/24 23:26:18)
#
# Please DO NOT delete this file!
# It is necessary for linking the library.
# The name that we can dlopen(3).
dlname='libmng.so.1'
# Names of this library.
library_names='libmng.so.1.0.9 libmng.so.1 libmng.so'
# The name of the static archive.
old_library='libmng.a'
# Libraries that this one depends upon.
dependency_libs=''
# Version information for libzzip.
current=1
age=0
revision=9
# Is this an already installed library?
installed=yes
# Files to dlopen/dlpreopen
dlopen=''
dlpreopen=''
# Directory that this library needs to be installed in:
libdir='/usr/lib'
im not sure if anything should go in the ` dependency_libs='' ' field

any word on an update of the package?
linking against libmng doesnt work for some applications, namely Ogre3D, because of this missing file..

Did you submit a bug report? If not, it might be better to do it as most dev don't read the forum.
