Hello,
I have tried to use the internet with Arch Linux since two weeks now.
It was hard for me, because I have not got a Lan-cable.
I did get the access to the "FritzBox" now.
It uses "WEP".
But than I have got another problem:
I am not able to configure the rc.conf right for my static IP, so that I have access to the internet.
My rc.conf
wlan0="wlan0 192.168.110.53 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.110.2"
INTERFACES=(wlan0)
gateway="default gw 192.168.110.2"
ROUTES=(!gateway)
The Problem is:
If I activate the gateway by removing the "!", "/etc/rc.d/network restart" does´nt work. It says:
Stopping Network [BUSY]
SIOCDELRT: No such process
[FAIL]
Starting Network [BUSY]
SIOCADDRT: No such process
[FAIL]
If I disable the gateway again, "/etc/rc.d/network restart" works without a problem!
My resolve.conf
nameserver 192.168.110.2
The IP´s should be right - I used them on Ubuntu, too!
I hope someone has an idea for me. Thanks!
