Well i thought precisely what i had to do was changing the gtk theme, and i tried copying the gtk-3 folder of a new theme to the emerald theme i'm using. When i boot up it wont load the desktop (as expected since it's not a theme for emerald).
So like i want to keep this emerald theme and i found no gtk3 theme for emerald i was asking for a posible solution i didnt think of.

Yeah, unfortunately there are only few GTK3 themes for now. I'd suggest downgrading to GTK2 apps. AUR has gedit2, evince2, file-roller2 etc.

You need to copy gtk-3.0 folder of gtk3 theme to gtk2 theme folder beside gtk-2.0 folder and change theme with Appearance.

Style: xfce4-smooth (icons: Tango, font: DejaVu Sans 10). Compositing via Xfwm4.
Interface: Docky, Gnome Do (super+space), Conky, xfce4-panel (small, transparent, autohide for systray purposes only -> 1st screenshot)
Other apps: mpd + gmpc + scmpc, chromium, xfce4-terminal, mc, wicd, dropbox, pidgin..... and slim as login manager.
I have 2 conkys because of the difference in the update time.
there should be cpubar in the first one but i found fn+f9 shortcut kind of handy.
the second one is for fortune cookies only ;P

This is my current xfce desktop, with Elegant Brit for xfwm and as gtk-theme:
does anybody know how i can get the window buttons(those at the bottom of the screen, in the toolbar) to have a grey background and not a white one? because this makes them almost unreadable, so i'd like the normal grey better... I tried replacing the files in Elegant Brit/gtk2.0/Toolbar but, no work. any1 knows?

Beautiful. I might be a bit late on this one but I was hoping I could ask you a few questions.
What are you using to get the perfect spacing between your windows? Is that some sort of tiling application or plugin?
Also, I guess more regarding your workflow... You don't appear to use your panel as a taskbar. Is the AWN on autohide or how else do you manage your open windows? Or maybe that's just not an issue if you tile the windows and not have overlaps?

Well, his WM appears to be Compiz+Emerald, so I would venture to guess that's the "Grid" plugin.
…won't know for sure until viggee posts back, though.

Yeah the grid plugin does that There's also a tiling plugin for compiz but it doesn't really work for me.
The panel isn't AWN but docky and it also works as a taskbar. It hides from all open windows until you move your cursor to the bottom of the screen. When there's no window it stays on top like on the clean screenshot.
But i actually thought about removing docky and just use the "Scale" plugin of compiz...would be a bit like gnome3...hated it but since i'm running it on a second box im actually starting to like it and considering to give up compiz for it as soon as i figure out how to place windows via keyboard shortcuts in gnome 3. Can't live without it anymore, grid plugin rocks

Thanks guys, I forgot about that one. You know how Openbox has resistance strength against windows? I kind of want something like that, but with a little padding between to kind of achieve the effect you have but without necessarily tiling. Something like that for Openbox or XFWM. That's kind of off topic though. Mainly just wanted to say thanks for that answer.
In my brief fling with Compiz I actually really liked the Scale plugin. I haven't tried Gnome3 yet because I think it forces compositing and I'm using two graphics cards with two monitors which forces Xinerama on me, which won't composite with NVidia drivers as far as I know.

Dino is an ANSI art image I made with cadubi. Specs are auto-generated by the screenshot script I wrote yesterday (or a day before). It's a messy piece of shell code I'm not yet willing to share. But I can share the dino. I'm using it as a template which gets filled out by a script.
I also draw some other classic 8-bit arcade characters, but I am not going to share that yet.
