Gnome Shell + Urxvt as a transparent terminal

Hello, I'm currently using Arch64 + Gnome Shell. Time ago I was using Openbox and I had managed to make a transparent terminal using URXVT via this thread -> https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=104868
If I remember correctly I had also managed to succeed in making a transparent terminal in Gnome 2 too. Unfortunately I have run into some problems when making the same in Gnome Shell. As you can see in the screenshot -> http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/82 … urxvt.png/ , urxvt produces an ugly shadow and the biggest problem is that I'm not able to type on it.

My .Xdefaults file is the below:

URxvt*transparent:true
URxvt*font:xft:monospace:pixelsize=11
URxvt*scrollBar:false
URxvt*geometry:100x75+400+30
URxvt*borderLess:true
URxvt*foreground:#ffffff

Obvliously I'm missing something. Can you help me?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Gnome Shell + Urxvt as a transparent terminal

As far as I know, the problem is caused by MUTTER which doesn't draw shadows correctly.
It will be fixed in the next gnome release.
Try to google: mutter, transparency, gnome.
