[SOLVED] mplayer and faad2 problem

Hey guys!
I've just downloaded some videos of the 21c3, but I have no sound when playing them. On the page is written that I'd need the faad2 audio-codec. So I installed it but it's still not working. I tried the stable and the cvs-version, both are not working.

I tried to compile mplayer again but also this has no effect. normally the configure-script should look for an installed version of faad, but it doesn't. options like --enable-external-faad also change nothing.

So does anybody know what I'm doing wrong or how I can get this running? Would be very kind.

Thank you very much!
rid

edit: there's a codecs.conf in the wiki to download, just do:

mplayer -codecs-file /path/to/codecs.conf foo.bar

Um, dumb question maybe but what wiki are you talking about? I'm also having trouble with faad and it's driving me mad.

Just your basic anime otaku some might even call nijikon.
