I like to play "Live for Speed" on Arch + Wine with an el cheapo "Genius" steering wheel that works well enough. After about 10 minutes of racing my monitor goes to sleep! I quickly hit a key but I'm driving blind until the screen wakes up. For whatever reason, my wheel doesn't seem to count as activity for DPMS. I use xset -dpms and I can easily script around this but it seems wrong that something that shows up in /dev/input doesn't get counted as input. So, should I just write the script or am I'm missing some magic incantation to make X count my steering wheel as activity?
