Hi.
I have some problems getting my bluetooth up and running. Running the latest of everything with Gnome 3. The problem seems to be that I can't turn the bluetooth on. Gnome 3 reports that bluetooth is up when I switch the bluetooth switch. But in System settings everything is grayed out. Rfkill reports that there is no block of anykind on. When I try FN + F3 which should turn off and on wifi plus bluetooth I get nothing and dmesg reports this:
[ 7593.417945] atkbd serio0: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0x93 on isa0060/serio0).
[ 7593.417951] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes e013 <keycode>' to make it known.
[ 7593.449106] acer_wmi: Unknown key number - 0x4
[ 7593.491449] atkbd serio0: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x93 on isa0060/serio0).
[ 7593.491455] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes e013 <keycode>' to make it known.
I have gotten Bluetooth to work before with the switch but as the dmesg output suggest nothing is done now. Any sugestions to what I can look at. I have tried both the sugested fixes https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ac … #Bluetooth

Hi,
I have an acer 3820TG. I seem to have the same issue, although I don't actively use bluetooth. I found your post while searching for a related problem: upon start wifi is disabled and the wifi hotkey doesn't work. I get the same dmesg output you posted.
It seems this bug may apply to us. The problem seems to be fixed upstream, so it is just a matter of waiting for next (3.1?) kernel release or applying these patches.

I think the problem, with the bluetooth might be related more to this https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=119581, because I don't have a problem with a soft block which is the only thing the FN + F3 should open, as I understand it. But its good to see that they both seem to be fixed.

Right now you can just blacklist the acer-wmi driver in /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf to get the fn-f3 keyboard shortcut to work again.

It does work for me
Edit:
Sorry, it does work, but I thought it would be enough to just rmmod and not restart.

Blacklisting acer_wmi got fn+f3 working again for me as well. Now I can run the 3.0 kernel without sacrificing functionality.
