Just upgraded to abiword 2.2.8 from 2.2.7. It crashes when I enter anything or bring up a .txt/.doc file. The only thing it will take is a graphic image insert. It mentions something about 'an undefined symbol:fribidi_get_type' Does anyone have an idea here?

Thanks for reply. No I'm not using a 64 bit machine. I've also noticed some other problems: thunderbird doesn't let me see reply screen til I close main screen. There seems to be a limit on the number of xterm screens I can use, and they show up after I shut one down. I'm using blackbox wm, but the problem seems to be the same if I switch to enlightenment. I hope I don't have to do a complete reinstall; I've got a lot of time invested in this drive setup.

Thanks a lot for that week site you gave above!!! I used pacman to download the latest fribidi and that FIXED it!!!! That really saved my butt!!!!!!!!!!!!
