Awful pulsueaudio/ pavucontrol/ internal mic problems

I have a lenovo g470, and the internal mic doesn't work. I was attempting to change some pavucontrol settings, and now when I start pavucontrol, it says "connection failed: connection terminated" about 2 seconds after loading. I have tried to pacman -Rnc pavucontrol and all pulseaudio items, but upon reinstall they still persist. Is there a way to delete the config file for pavucontrol to get this to stop crashing?

And the internal mic... It is a conexant internal audio card. The audio output works, just not the mic. Anyone have experience with this?

Re: Awful pulsueaudio/ pavucontrol/ internal mic problems

I has the same issue on a "new" motherboard, my audio output worked, but no mic.
(Albeit, my hardware is obviously different than yours)
In alsamixer I enabled/turned up "capture', and then adjusted mic,..., anyway I got the mic working but the mic always produced horrible scratchy sounds no matter how i set the levels.
-make sure your captue is enabled via als, before you adjust with pavucontrol.
and don't forget (as root)
#alsactl store
to permanently save your settings.

The "BSD" things in life are "Free", and "Open", and so is "Arch"
