The title of this thread is "LnF Awards 2010 - The best Light & Fast apps of 2010". It's in the "Try This" forum.
If I go to the forum search page, and type "light" in the keyword search box, AND change "Search in" to "Topic subject only", you would think this thread would be in the results. But it's not. In fact if I limit the search to the "Try This" forum, I get no results.
Also, I'm getting the impression that the "Topic subject only" searches are case-sensitive. Are they supposed to be?
I couldn't get that thread to show up in a subject-only searches on any of:
light
light*
Light
Light*
.
I'll report upstream if appropriate, but I wanted to confirm whether others have noticed this issue also. A quick forum search didn't show anything.

The searches are case-insensitive, but I can't really recall the last time I've used the build-in forum search, I'd use
allintitle: light site:bbs.archlinux.org
instead.
Edit: I did get https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=11728 when searching for topics with the word 'dumbest', but I couldn't find https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=45401 when searching for 'pronounce', 'pronounc*' etc. Couldn't find https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=18143 either.

@karol: right, I can't anymore duplicate my impression that case made a difference to the search results. Perhaps I was just confused about that. But it's strange that the forum searches can't match "Light" in a subject-only search. Of course Google is a reasonable work-around. I would just like to know what the limitations to the forum's native search function are.

The forum search (topic subject only) for 'apvlv' returns only one thread, even though multiple matches should be found.
Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
I'm not super-excited about the idea of going upstream, but oh well.

As it turned out, our forum search index had to be rebuild. Search works fine now (as far as I can tell).
