Well as i said installation showed no error, I used the entire disk of my laptop and while the usb boots ok and as i happily hoped to begin my 3456434 hours that it takes to configure my favourite distro, reboot left me looking at a blinking cursor after the bios load for 10 minutes. No grub no nothing...
I changed the menu.lst so that it looked at the correct kernel and initram (even though if that was the problem some grub error would have arised). No dice.
Any ideas?
Thanx in advance!
PS. sorry i dont present any document but I have no written error data or log of the situation. Maybe something is wrong with the MBR but reinstalling grub didnt solve the problem.
PS2. Maybe grub2 would be able to handle the situation but pacman refused to install it on the usb...(conflict with grub)

There have been problems with the old version of the installation iso and with the isos from testing. Many times they result in broken installations.
I think the quickest solution would be to download the new official iso, from https://www.archlinux.org/download/ and reinstall.
Not what you were hoping to hear, I know, but I believe that it will be the quickest way to end up with a functioning system.
