I have a Nokia N8 mobile phone, which can make its 16Gb internal mass memory and inserted MicroSD card available as two USB mass storage devices. My Eee 701SD netbook is running Arch without a DE (I'm using Fluxbox for minimalism and speed), so I have added Udev rules for automounting mass storage, as per the Udev article in the Arch wiki.
From about a week ago, I found that when I connected my N8 to the Eee via USB, only the MicroSD card would automount - the mass memory could not be accessed on the Eee. I looked in /dev/ and found that whilst the MicroSD card was appearing as /dev/sdd1, the mass memory showed up as /dev/sdc - i.e. with no number.
I wondered if this could be a "bug" in the Udev rule(s) for automounting, and/or whether the problem is connected with the upgrade to the 3.x kernel?
Any suggestions much appreciated - many thanks :-)
